An essential tribute to one of the most influential artists of the twentieth century. In Andy Pixel Remix, the face of Andy Warhol is reconstructed through the language of the pixel, transforming the father of Pop Art into a contemporary icon built from individual units of information.

Constructed pixel by pixel using individually placed Venetian glass tesserae, the work belongs to a period in which the artist embraced a deliberately reduced palette of colors. Originally dictated by the limited availability of mosaic materials, this restriction evolved into a distinctive visual language that became characteristic of several works from this period.

The choice of Warhol as subject carries particular significance. Beyond his status as the father of Pop Art, Warhol was among the first artists to embrace the technologies of image reproduction available in his time. Through repetition and serial production, he transformed mechanical processes into artistic language, opening a new chapter in the relationship between art and technology.

By reconstructing Warhol through pixels and Venetian mosaic, the artist establishes a dialogue between two technological eras: Warhol’s industrial image-making systems and the contemporary language of digital fragmentation. The work becomes both a tribute and a continuation of that investigation.

The original work is part of a private collection, while additional artist-authorized editions remain available by commission.
