A unique convergence of spirituality, popular culture, and pixel-based visual language.

Inspired by George Harrison’s iconic song My Sweet Lord, this work portrays Sri Krishna through the artist’s distinctive Pixel Remix aesthetic. Constructed pixel by pixel using individually placed Venetian glass tesserae, the mosaic transforms a sacred image into a contemporary visual icon while preserving its timeless symbolic presence.

Unlike many works throughout the artist’s career that draw from cinema, music, or popular culture, this piece emerges from a personal spiritual journey that began in 1998 through the study of Vedic philosophy, including the Bhagavad Gita, Srimad Bhagavatam, and the teachings of A.C. Bhaktivedanta Swami Prabhupada. While rarely addressed directly within the artist’s public work, this influence has remained a constant presence behind decades of creative exploration.

For the artist, the act of placing each tessera becomes more than a technical process. The mosaic itself becomes a form of contemplation, where repetition, concentration, and material transformation converge into a practice that echoes the principles of Bhakti Yoga.

The vivid blue tones traditionally associated with Krishna contrast with the geometric rigidity of the pixel, creating a dialogue between the eternal and the technological, the sacred and the contemporary.

Part of a limited edition of five pieces, two editions have already entered private collections.
