Created during the Digital Expressionism period, High Tension continues the artist’s exploration of abstract pixel structures generated through simple digital operations. Using a one-pixel drawing system inside a low-resolution digital matrix, the composition was constructed through intersecting straight lines that later became a handcrafted mosaic assembled tessera by tessera.

The work transforms elementary digital gestures into a dense visual network charged with optical and symbolic tension. Red and green linear structures collide, overlap and compress against one another, generating the sensation of an unstable system operating under continuous pressure. What initially appears as geometric order gradually reveals friction, interference and structural stress.

Unlike earlier figurative mosaics, High Tension abandons representation entirely. Here, the pixel no longer functions as a unit for depicting reality, but as an autonomous architectural element capable of constructing rhythm, vibration and psychological intensity. The composition evokes electrical grids, computational pathways, digital infrastructures and interconnected systems stretched to their operational limits.

Through the physical repetition of thousands of Venetian glass tesserae placed pixel by pixel, the work translates the invisible logic of digital environments into material form. The resulting surface oscillates between abstraction and system mapping, reflecting on the hidden tensions embedded within contemporary technological culture.
