Created in 2023, K.O. transforms the legendary image of Muhammad Ali standing over Sonny Liston into a large-scale Venetian mosaic, translating a decisive moment of twentieth-century history into the language of the pixel.

Rather than depicting the boxer alone, the work engages with the cultural power of a photograph that has become embedded in collective memory. Through thousands of hand-placed glass tesserae, the image is reconstructed as a contemporary mosaic where digital aesthetics, historical documentation, and traditional craftsmanship converge.

Measuring 100 × 150 cm, the piece occupies a scale rarely explored within the artist’s production. The expanded format allows the image to oscillate continuously between abstraction and representation.
