A landmark work within the artist’s ongoing exploration of repetition, perception, and image construction. Created in 2023, Double Einstein Pixel Remix expands the visual investigations initiated in earlier works of the Double series, transforming portraiture into a complex system of symmetry, duplication, and optical reconstruction.
By repeating and merging the face of Albert Einstein, the artist creates a new visual entity that oscillates between recognition and abstraction. The familiar image of the scientist remains present, yet the duplication destabilizes conventional portraiture, inviting viewers to reconsider how identity can be fragmented, reconstructed, and perceived through contemporary visual language.
Executed in an imposing 120 × 120 cm format, the work represents one of the largest and most ambitious pieces of the series. The monumental scale allows the pixel structure to become fully immersive, encouraging the viewer to experience the image both as a physical mosaic surface and as a unified visual phenomenon.
The piece also marks the consolidation of a distinctive chromatic language developed by the artist over nearly a decade of experimentation. Intense blues, vibrant ambers, luminous whites, and electric oranges interact across the surface, generating a visual vibration that has become a recognizable characteristic of the artist’s mature work.
